Abstract

Brookman, Grace, et al., eds., Earth First! Journal 15, no. 4 (21 March 1995). Republished by the Environment & Society Portal, Multimedia Library. http://www.environmentandsociety.org/node/7003.

In this Earth First! Journal’s editorial Craig Beneville contributes with his thoughts on politics, law, and how environmental movements should move forward. In addition, Rod Coronado writes an open letter with the headline: “Spread Your Love Through Action,” and James Barnes discusses the Bison Management Plan.

"Things are bad. It is not exaggeration to say a thirty year history of environmental law is being thrown away before our eyes. With the dismantling of environmental law, the direct action environmental movement is poised for a resurgence if only for the unfortunate reason that it is the last line of defense against the corporate marauders. If this resurgence is to be effective, however, it is vital that we be politically smart; we need to be conscious of strategy."

— Craig Beneville
