In this issue of Earth First! editor John Davis attempts to mediate between various local EF! groups who have differing ideas on activism within the Earth First! movement.
"Some radical environmentalists can’t howl. No matter how hard they try to imitate howling Gray Wolves, their vocal chords allow nothing more convincing than the sound of whimpering Coyotes. Analogously, some radicals prefer sitting in a quiet circle discussing wildlife sightings to chanting “DRUNK AND IGNORANT” around a campfire. Does this disqualify them as Earth First!ers? Of course not."
